Security & Data Management
The IT Simulator application is built on and hosted by Base44 Infrastructure, a cloud-based application platform that provides enterprise-grade security and data management capabilities.
Security Measures
- Encrypted Data Transmission: All data exchanged between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- Authentication & Access Control: User authentication is managed by the Base44 platform with secure session handling. Role-based access controls restrict data access to authorized users only.
- Data Isolation: Organisation data is logically separated using row-level security (RLS) policies, ensuring that users can only access data belonging to their organisation.
- Secure Backend Functions: All server-side processing is executed in isolated, sandboxed environments.
Data Management
- Data Hosting: All application data, including user profiles, simulation inputs, and roadmap data, is stored within the Base44 cloud infrastructure.
- Data Retention: User data is retained for the duration of the active account. Upon account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.
- Data Export: Users have the ability to export their personal and organisational data at any time via the account settings.
- Third-Party AI Services: Certain AI-powered features may transmit anonymised query data to third-party large language model providers. No personally identifiable information is included in these transmissions.
- No Data Selling: User data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
